Daisy C. Evans was born at Maxwell, Ia., Dec. 25, 1882, the daughter of Joseph Edwin and Jeanette Southwick, and her death occurred in San Diego, Calif., Jan. 4, 1956 after suffering a heart attack. She had been living in San Diego the past 14 months.
Daisy Southwick was graduated from the Maxwell high school and spent her early life in Maxwell.
She was united in marriage to Bert Evans in 1898 in Maxwell, Ia. After their marriage they moved to Nevada, where they spent most of their life. Mr. Evans was a member of the Presbyterian church and a former member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by seven sons and four daughters, the sons being Bob of Nevada, Joe of Long Beach, Calif., James and Frank of San Diego, Calif., Bert of Colo, William of Carroll and Charles of Downey, Calif. The daughters are Thelma, Mrs. Charles Bartlett of San Diego, Calif.; Helen, Mrs. Fritz Bronner of Chicago, now in Europe; Constance, Mrs. Walter White of Philadelphia, Pa., and Vivian, Mrs. Charles Cox of Des Moines. She also leaves 22 grandchildren.
Also surviving are Mrs. Jeanette Killiam of Pharr, Texas, mother of the deceased and one brother Clyde Southwick of Freeport, Ill.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Evans in 1943 and two children.
