Bert Evans, 69, for over forty years a barber in Nevada, died at his home 1329 Fifth street, Friday noon [February 19, 1945], after a lingering illness.
Mr. Evans was compelled to retire from work about two years ago and since that time his health had been failing and the death was not unexpected.
Funeral rites are still undetermined, pending definite word from the members of the family, many of them in California.
During the over two-score years that Mr. Evans had lived in Nevada and raised a large family, he had been held in the highest of esteem by the people of the community.
