Hattie Belle Fetterhoff

Hattie Belle Fetterhoff, 91, of Ames, IA, formerly of Nevada Ia, died Sunday, May 28, 1989 at North Grand Care Center, Ames, of heart failure.

Fetterhoff was born in Franklin County Aug. 19, 1897 to Charles A. and Clara N. Penny Bond. She resided in Story County for most of her lifetime, and moved from Nevada to Ames in 1985. She taught country school in the Gilbert area and worked for many years at Montgomery Ward and Donnelley Marketing.

She married Lloyd Siefkin in January of 1922. After his death she married Ben Fetterhoff Oct. 1, 1935. He died in June, 1972. She was a graduate of Ellsworth College and member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Nevada. She was a member of the Nevada Methodist Church.

Survivors include brother Frank Bond of Mesa AZ; sister Margaret Fetterhoff of Albequerque, NM; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were Wednesday, May 31 at 1 p.m. at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada. Burial was in the Nevada Cemetery.
