LOUIS C. BOND

Louis C. Bond, 74, of Long Term Care Center, Story County Hospital, Nevada, IA, died Wednesday, Aug. 10. 1988, at Story County Hospital.

Death was due to pneumonia. He had been ill five years.

He was born April 28, 1914, at Buffalo Center IA to William G. and Margaret Smith Bond. He had been a Nevada resident six years.

Mr. Bond was married to Winifred C. Michaelson on July 29, 1942, at Blue Earth MN. She died May 20, 1974.

Suvivors include two brothers, Franklin Bond of Hutchinson KS and Clarence Bond of Ames IA; two sisters, Esther Drake and Ruth Berryhill, both of Buffalo Center, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and his wife Winifred.

Mr. Bond was an Iowa State University chemistry lab technician for 27 years, retiring in 1979.

He was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held from Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave. in Nevada, Saturday, Aug. 13, at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada.

Friends may call at the mortuary after noon on Friday.
