HAZEL LU REE CHRISTY

Hazel Lu Ree Christy, 89, of 402 5th St., Nevada, died Feb. 20, 1986 at Story County Hospital, Nevada IA. Mrs. Christy died of a heart attack.

She was born Feb. 29, 1896 in Emmetsburg IA to Charles and Audrey (Stone) Ferguson. She was resident of Nevada for 65 years.

She married Archie Freeman Christy Aug. 22, 1914. Mr. Christy died in 1974. Survivors include one son Rollo Christy of Nevada, daughters Arletta Austin and Barbara Jean O'Dell of Dan Diego CA, and Muriel Elwood of Crown Point In, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Freeman, one sister, and one grandson.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services were held Sat., Feb. 22, 1986 at Chet Ryan Mortuary at 1:30, with Reverend Ernest Larson presiding.
