MRS. JOHN K. LAYCOCK

Mrs. Emma Laycock, 66, died at the home of her son, Dr. Merle Laycock, at McAllen, Texas early Sunday morning*, according to a message reaching her brothers, O. J. and G. A. Benjamin, of Nevada.

Mrs. Laycock, since the passing of her husband, John K. Laycock, at Sioux City Jan 15, 1932, had divided her time between the daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Smith, in Sioux City, and her son, Dr. Merle Laycck at McAllen, and her brothers, O. J. and G. A. Benjamin, in Nevada. She suffered a stroke of apoplexy a week ago.

Mrs. Laycock, whose maiden name was Emma Benjamin, was a native of Illinois and was united in marriage to Mr. Laycock, Dec 8, 1885, at Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Laycock, the two oldest passing away in infancy, while only the youngest, Mr. Orla Smith of Sioux City and Dr. Merle Laycock of McAllen, Texas, survive.

The funeral was held in the chapel Wednesday afternoon, followed by interment in Nevada cemetery.
