Mrs. Emma Ernst died Friday

Mrs. Emma Ernst, 79, Nevada, died Friday about 9:30 p.m. in the Story County Hospital, where she had been a patient for 10 days.

Born Oct. 18, 1882 in Story County, she had been a resident all her life.

She is survived by her husband, John; a son, Purl J. Ernst, 1204 Kellogg Ave; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Lem Oxley of Nevada, Mrs. Dora Taylor of Mason City and Mrs. Violet Shearer, 123 Sumner Ave.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; six sisters and a son, Earl in 1933.

Funeral services will be from the Nevada Christian Church Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. W. R. Tuttle officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Ryan Funeral Home until time of services.
