James L. Dyer (Roy) Dyer, 64, 1423 Summit St., died at Mary Greeley Hospital early Wednesday.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Dyer was born Oct. 7, 1908 at Leon. He came to Ames about 1944 and was employed with the Ames Public School System for 27 years.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Mr. Dyer was married to Elva A. Godden June 29, 1933 in Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Norma Jean Holland, Denver, Colo; three grandchildren; two brother, Raymond Dyer, Leon and Harold Dyer, R.R. 2; and two sisters, Bernita Dooley, Glenville, Minn. and Mrs. Helen Harris, Roseberg, Ore.
