HARRY R. CLAUSEN

Harry R. Clausen of Ames died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1984, at Agdne. Death was attibuted to a stroke.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel (Crooks), one daughter, Ada Marie Groen of Edinburg, Tex.; three sisters, Louise Bass of Ogden, Gretchen Rolin of Hegdon, Ark., and Barbara Basler of Los Angeles, Calif., and three grandchildren, Jeffrey of Ames, Timothy of Winter Park, Fla., and Joy Marie of Edinburg.

Clausen was born at Ogden and was a graduate of Ogden High School and had a pharmacy degree from the University of Iowa. He came to Ames in 1922 and was pharmacist there for over 50 years. He was a partner in the Judisch Drug Store for many years and later was at Oslund Drug Store.

He was a World War I veteran, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ames, Ames Kiwanis Club, Iowa State Pharmaceutical Assn. and American Legion Post 37 of Ames.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Nevada Cemetery with Rev. John K. Moore of the Ames First United Methodist Church officiating and American Legion Post 37 assisting.

Friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
