SUDDEN DEATH OF HAROLD WINGER
DIED AT KIRKSVILLE MO., WHERE HE WAS A STUDENT IN COLLEGE
The body of Harold Winger, 26, arrived her this forenoon form Kirksville, Mo., where he died yesterday and interment was in the Nevada cemetery following brief services at the grave.
The young man was the only son of Frank B. Winger, now of Butte, Mont., and a grandson of Mrs. Chet Lough of near this city. He had been a student in a college of osteopathy at Kirksville, where his father, who has been in Iowa on a visit for some time had visited him over the week end.
Harold had been sick with the flu and suffered a number of relapses, but when his father was with him he appeared to be recovering and was up and around. Mr. Winger, Sr., had returned to the home of his mother near this city for a further visit, and yesterday had started for Kansas City, when the word reached him of the death of his son.
Because of the impaired wire service following yesterdays sleet storm it had been impossible to get any particulars and until the arrival of the body the father himself was uninformed as to the particulars of the death of the young man.

Winger a Suicide; Love Note Found on Des Moines Street
"Sweetheart: I am ending it all. Harold."
The above words on a bloodstained note, added romance to tragedy, in the recent death of a former Nevada boy.
Harold Winger, 26, former Nevada boy who was buried here Friday, took his own life by shooting, rather than from the effects of disease, as at first reported, according to word reaching here. No particulars have been learned.
Romance was added to the tragedy, when a mystery note found in a purse on Grand Avenue, Des Moines Saturday, following the shooting Wednesday, was found and turned over to the police, was identified by the sheriff in Kirksville, Mo., as having been written by Winger, who had been a student at Still college in that city and met his death there.
Detectives are holding the purse for it owner believed to be a Des Moines girl. About $15 in cash, a powder puff and several other articles were found in the purse.
First word reaching this city was to the effect that the lad had died suddenly, following a relapse from the flu. His father, F. B. Winger of Butte, Mont., who has been visiting here, was with him the Sunday before the tragedy.
