ALICE VERNA SORENSEN

Alice Verna Sorensen, 79, Nevada, died Dec. 15 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Nevada Memorial Church, with Pastor John Chadwick officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Ryan Funeral Home from 7-9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17.

Sorensen was born to Henry and Anna Visel Swain on Nov. 15, 1903 in Lincoln, Neb. She was married to Clifford Sorensen on Dec. 16, 1926 in Chicago, Ill.

After moving to Nevada, Sorensen was employed by Donnelley Marketing for over 45 years. She retired from there in 1967,

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1953. Survivors are: one daughter, Nancy Stone, Nevada; one brother, Roy Swain, Chula Vista, Cal.; one sister, Cora James, Champaign, Ill.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
