HAZEL CLAUSEN

Hazel Clausen, 81, of 221 10th St., Ames, died Dec. 19, 1988 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Graveside services were 10:30 Tuesday, Jan. 3 at the Nevada Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 18, 1907 in Nevada to Ira and Ada Mary (Holland) Crooks. She graduated from Nevada High School and was married to Harry R. Clausen who preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1984.

She was secretary at the Department of Fishery and Wildlife at Iowa State University until retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ames, and a member of the Rebekkah Lodge here. She is a past president of the American Auxiliary, the BPW club and the Mary Greeley Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include her daughter, Ada Marie Groen and her son-in-law, Arvine Groen of Edinburg TX and three grandchildren.

Visitation was a Adams Funeral Home in Ames Monday.

Adams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
