HARRY M. FORBES

Harry M. Forbes, 75, of Nevada died Thursday, Nov. 1, 1984, at Story County Hospital, Nevada.

He was born Nov 10, 1906, at Bloomington, Ill., to James and Mary Rainey Forbes. He was educated in the Osage Public Schools.

He moved to Nevada from Osage several years ago.

On Aug. 1983, he was married to Phyllis L. Boller at Nevada.

He farmed south of Nevada. In 1944, he moved to Nevada worked for Crow's Seed Co. until 1961. From 1961 to 1974 he worked for Iowa State University when he retired.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include four son, Tom of Arlington, Va., Tim of Houston, Tex., Dan of Ames and Joel of Nevada; two brothers, Edward Forbes of Riverside, Calif., and Melvin of Marshalltown, Ia.; one sister, Bonnie Christy of Nevada, and eight grandchildren.

His wife, Phyllis, died April 25, 1980. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tony and Don.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment was in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Ia.

Visitation was held at the funeral home Sunday form 7 to 8 p.m.
