Michael Eugene Stoops (55) died Sunday July 21st in Ames, Iowa. Mike was born on July 30, 1957, to Lyle and Marilyn Stoops. He spent his entire life in Ames, marrying Kathi Stoops in 1979, and raising three children with her. He spent most of his working life as an account executive for Wolf Robotics, traveling the Midwest to sell welding robots. He loved life and his job. He was a friend to all and was known for his great sense of humor. He was an avid fan and cheerleader for his children’s sports and activities. He never stopped challenging himself as well and was pursuing competing in a triathlon with his daughters in September.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his grandsons Jacob and William Wise. Those left to mourn his passing are: His wife, Kathi Stoops; his sister, Mary Enslow; his daughters, Allison (David) Wise and Danielle (Brad) Burnett; his son, Timothy Stoops, his grandsons: Henry Wise, Samuel Wise, and Lincoln Burnett as well as many close family and friends.
