Obituary

ERICK JOHN CHARLSON

Funeral services for Erick John Charlson were held at the Larson funeral home in Story City Monday, Dec. 12, at 1:30 p.m.

A second service was held at the Bethel Lutheran church at 2 p.m., the Rev. A. J. Bringle officiating.

Burial was at the Mamrelund Cemetery, Randall, Sherman Charlson, Martin Charlson, Earl Christian, Alvin Charlson, Ernest Williams and Donald Larson were pallbearers.

Erick John Charlson was born Dec. 28, 1857, the son of Stone and Julia Charlson, on a farm northeast of Randall. He died Dec. 9, in University hospital, Iowa City, following a few days illness.

Mr. Charlson was engaged in farming on the home place with his brother Austin until 1940. At that time he moved to Belmond for three years, 1943 tp 1954, he made his home with his sister, Mrs. Oscar Larson. He purchased a home in Story City in 1954.

Since leaving his farm, he has worked as a carpenter.

Mr. Charlson is survived by one brother, George of Lake Mills, and one sister, Mr. Oscar Larson of Story City.

His parents, eight brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
