Rites set for Kaia Sorem

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thurdsdy from Salem Lutheran Church, Roland for Mrs. Kaia Sorem, 87, who died early Monday morning at Story City Hospital.

The Rev. Everett Nelson will officiate and burial will be in Roland Cemetery.

Mrs. Sorem was born in Norway but had been a Roland resident for many years.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Taletta Gronstad, Etna, Norway and Mrs. Caroline Erickson, Olds, Alberta, Canada, and was preceded in death by her husband, Torres, two sisters and three brothers.

The body will lie in state at Soderstrum Funeral Home, Roland, until time for services.
