RICHARD SILAS WIERSON

Funeral services for Richard Silas Wierson were held June 28 from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Olaf Holen of Ames officiating. Burial was in the Story City Cemetery.

Mr. Wierson died June 26 at his home, following an illness of four months.

He was born June 11, 1917, at Story City and was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He married Alta Dell Malaney March 22, 1969.

Survivors include his wife, two brothers, Marion of LeRoy, Minn. and Irving, Story City; six sisters: Mrs. Mattie Opstvedt of Story City; Mrs. Violet Riney of Nevda, Mrs. Anna Mildal of Jewell and Mrs. Wanda Clayberg, Mrs. Gertrude Larson and Mrs. Florence Nordeen, all of Storyt City; two step sons, Michael and Lyle Malaney; three step daughters, Mrs. Oella Cooper, Mrs. Robert Stoll and Catherine Malaney all of Des Moines and seven step grandchildren.

Pallbearers were James Clayberg, Melbourne Henderson, Robert Riney, Lloyd Ritland, Ed Osberg and Reynold Nordeen.
