Obituaries

MRS. EVELYN DURBY

Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Durby, 60, Story City, were held Oct. 19 frm Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. William A. Gregerson officiating. Also participating in the service was the Rev. Richard Sansgaard of Reeder, N.D. Burial was in the Story City cemetery.

Mrs. Durby died Oct 16 enroute to the Mary Greeley Hospital after suffering a heat attack at her home.

She was born March 7, 1912, in Hamilton County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Wike. She married Archie Durby, Sept. 17, 1936. They farmed near Nevada and Shipley and later moved to a farm, seven miles northwest of Story City. After the death of her husband in 1969, Mrs. Durby moved to Story City.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Delores Mackey, Story City and Mrs. Marjorie Gunderson, Phoenix, Ariz.; a son Mark, Story City; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Weltha, Randall and Mrs. Blanche Templer, Jewell and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ernest Sansgaard, Gaylord Weltha, Melbourne Swenson, Dwight Larson, Sanford Duea and Bruce Templer.
