Mrs. Evelyn Durby died Monday

Mrs. Evelyn Durby, 60, Story City, died Monday enroute to an Ames hospital, after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from Bethel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. William A. Gregerson officiating. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Wilke, she married Archie Durby, Sept. 17, 1930, and they farmed west of Story City for many years. Mrs. Durby moved into Story City after her husband's death in 1969.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Delores Makey, Story City and Mrs. Marjorie Gunerson, Phoenix, Ariz.; a son Mark, Story City; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Weltha, Randall and Mrs. Blanche Kempler, Jewell and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.
