Annette Skeie, 93, of Story City, died Saturday, March 8, of congestive heart failure at Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Bethany Manor in Story City. Burial will be in Story City Cemetery.

Annette Skeie was born April 4, 1909, in Roland, the daughter of George and Carrie Olson. She lived most of her life in the Story City area. She married Harvey Skeie Feb. 25, 1940. He died Oct. 8, 1994, after they had enjoyed 54 years of marriage. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City.

She is survived by one son, Leon and his wife, Cheryl, of Newport Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Marilyn and her husband, Bob, Henley of Rossmoor, Calif.; two grandchildren, Stacey and Erick Rees of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. and Kim and Tim Eilber of Denver, Colo.; three great-grandchildren, Shaya, Jessica and Joshua Rees; one sister, Victoria Sorenson of Marshall, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Hilda Soren of Story City; and
several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six sisters; and one son,
Loren.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
