Sheldon Williams died Saturday

Sheldon W. Williams, formerly of Story City, died Saturday at 11:30 p.m. in a Moline, Ill. hospital.

Mr. Williams had been city clerk in Story City for more than 10 years until he retired and moved to Moline one and a half years ago.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Moline and Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the Grace United Methodist Church at Story City. Burial will be at Story City.

Survivors include his wife, Livina; a son, Myron of Moline; a brother, Herschel, Story City; and four grandchildren.

Before he was city clerk in Story City, he was a partner in a grain elevator business with his brother, Herschel.
