Death

Beulah Duella Starkey

Beulah Duella Starkey, 90, of Story City, died of heart falure at Mary Greeley Medical Center on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will be in the Story City Cemetery in Story City.

Beulah Duella Starkey was born on July 19, 1910, near Story City to Thomas T. and Hanna (Odson) Wicks. She married William S. Starkey on June 16, 1938 in Story City. Together they owned and operated Starkey and Knutson Clothing in Story City. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she belonged to the ELCW.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Esther Wicks of Story City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and three brothers, Wallace, Herman and Raymond Wicks.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
