Shirley Ann Hall
April 26, 1939 - January 13, 2013Shirley A. Hall 73 of Nevada, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Israel Hospice House in Ames. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18 at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada with Pastor Don Beal officiating. Burial will follow at Murphy Cemetery in Fernald.
Shirley was born on April 26, 1939 to Harley Howard and Roxie Mae (Lamasters) Mayfield in Unionville MO. She was a student at Nevada High School. She lived most of her life in the Maxwell and Nevada area, was a homemaker and worked for Lutheran Hospital in the transportation department for 6 to 8 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed drawing, crocheting and singing.
Left to honor her memory is her husband Bobby Hall of Nevada, three sons, Robert (Deb) Hardy Jr. of Ames, Rodney Hardy of Florence AZ. and Andrew (Sue) Hardy of Nevada; two daughters, Gaylene Hardy-Wilson and Angela (Lowell) Hunter all of Nevada; three sisters Ilene (Phil) Dorsey of Murfreesboro TN, Mary (Leon) Cake of Des Moines, and Jean Thompson of Nevada; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Raymond Mayfield and Russell Mayfield and three sisters, Crystal Barton, Beulah Bartmess, and Wanda Klein.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service again at Chet Ryan Mortuary.
A memorial fund has been established in loving memory of Shirley for Charcot- Marie-Tooth Association, P. O. Box 105, Glenolden, PA 19036.
Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada has been entrusted with the care of Shirley and her family.
