Otis Leonard Twedt, Jr.

BORN: September 15, 1926
DIED: February 12, 2011
LOCATION: Story City, Iowa

Otis Leonard Twedt, Jr. was born September 15, 1926 to Otis L. and Eva V. (Munson) Twedt in Roland, Iowa. He graduated Roland High School in 1945 and Luther College in 1949. Otis and Luella Marie Kuehn were married September 27, 1969 in Rice, Minnesota. Otis was employed by Ames InCross and then for 33 years by the Iowa DOT as a draftsman in road design. He was a lifelong member of Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland and enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, recording for weddings, and working with computers.

Otis passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames at 84 years of age.

Otis is survived by his wife Luella Twedt of Story City; one brother, Keith and his wife Judi Twedt of Nevada, Iowa; two nieces, Cathy and her husband Geoff Hubbard of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Cindy and her husband Mike Phelan of Story City; sister-in-law Marlys McDougall of Rice, Minnesota; and great nieces and nephews Rachael, Sarah and Matthew Phelan, and Jacob and Luke Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
