BORN: November 27, 1924

DIED: February 13, 2011

LOCATION: Ames, Iowa

Elizabeth Jean Schultz, 86, of Ames, died February 13 at Green Hills Healthcare Center. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 16 at Memorial Lutheran Church. Burial will be 11:30 Thursday, Feb. 17 at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL.

Betty was born November 27, 1924 in Moline, IL to Francis and Alice (DeWitte) Dankaert. She graduated from East Moline High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Oelwein.

Betty enjoyed cooking and embroidering. She loved to be busy and was a hard worker. After her cancer diagnosis her wish was to be able to mow for another two years.

She is survived by her three children, Howard (Katrina) Copeland of Gordon, WI, Leo Copeland of Buffalo, WY, and Jean Greer of Ames; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
