DeWayne Charles Kammin

BORN: September 30, 1931

DIED: July 28, 2011

LOCATION: Story City, Iowa

DeWayne Charles Kammin was born September 30, 1931 to Charles and Gladys (Sinn) Kammin near Story City. He married Donna Jacobson on February 1, 1953. DeWayne farmed west of Story City for many years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir and served for 6 years as president of the congregation. He also served 18 years on the Roland-Story School Board. DeWayne was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and dedicated member of the community.

DeWayne passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Bethany Manor in Story City at 79 years of age.

DeWayne is survived by his wife Donna of Story City; two daughters, Cathy (Don) Braathun, and Cindy Blomberg, all of Story City; his son Chad Kammin of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Jessica Blomberg, Jacob Blomberg and Jonathan Braathun; and a great-grandson, Jakoby Tarnow.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorothy Nordmark.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has be established in his name.

The family would like to thank Bethany Life Communities for their loving care of DeWayne.
