MRS. ANNA BALL PASSED AWAY WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The Collins community was immeasurably saddened by the death of Mrs. Anna Ball, which occurred Wednesday night, Sept. 13, at about 10:30 o'clock. She had been in failing health for several months, but to the majority of her vast number of friends news of her death came as a great surprise. Immediate cause of death was given as heart trouble.

Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Luing, early day settlers here, and was born Oct. 30, 1860.

She was married to Frank Ball on May 5, 1880, in Marshalltown, her husband having preceded her in death about 15 years ago.

Children surviving are Ralph Ball of Nevada, Alfred Ball of McCallsburg, Everett Ball and Mrs. Chris Swalwell of Collins, Mrs. Ella Sornson of Elkhart, and Wayne Ball of Sioux Falls, S.D. A daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Swalwell, passed away a few years ago.

Funeral services will be held at the Collins Church of Christ Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
