Maxwell Tribune: ....Mrs. M. J. Miller died suddenly at her home near Mt. Zion, Sunday evening, May 13. She has been a sufferer for years with cancer of the stomach. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Mt. Zion church, conducted by Rev. L. N. Day, of Covington, Iowa, an old friend of the family, assisted by Rev. E. W. Fickinger....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Amanda (Whitemore) Miler was the wife of Moses J. Miller living in Washington Township, Polk County, Iowa near the Mt. Zion/Loring Church and Cemetery. She is buried in that cemetery with her daughter, Effie E. Miller, who had preceded her in 1895.
