The Ames Watchman.

Gen. and Mrs. J. R. Lincoln received a telegram Thursday, of last week, announcing the sudden death of Mrs. L's sister, at Anthony, Kansas. The funeral was to have taken place last Sabbath.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Gen. and Mrs. J. R. Lincoln" were James Rush Lincoln and his wife, Priscilla Cronkhite (Hicks) Lincoln. Priscilla was the daughter of Alexander Hamilton Hicks and Phallu Wheeler. Her sister, Theresa Altha Hicks, was married to Albert Barnes Ranney. Theresa and Albert Ranney were laid to rest in the Old Mission Mausoleum, Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas.
