On Friday evening last Fred Norris died at his home in the south-west part of the city from the operation to which we alluded last week. He has long lived in this county and quite well known to many of our readere as a young man of probity and uprightness. The funeral came off at the residence on Sunday afternoon the funeral sermon being preached by Rev. Shrader. The Masonic fraternity turned out in the form and took part in the ceremonies of the order upon such occasion, seeing that the remains were cared for in the form of the order under the charge of Mr. Burgess, W. M.
WHEREAS, It has pleased Almighty God to remove by death our brother F. A. Norris tothe Grand Lodge above. Therefore be it
Resolved, that while we bow with humble submission to the divine will, we feel that we have lost a worthy and upright member, a respected and just citizen, the family a faithful and beloved husband and father.
Resolved, That we hereby extend to the bereaved family our heartfelt sympathy and commend them to care of him who cares for the widow and fatherless
Resolved, That the Lodge Charter be draped for 30 days, and that a copy of these resolutions be presented to the family and to the city papers for publication.
