Roland Record: ....Sven Johnson received news of the sudden death of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martin Johnson yesterday. She died at her home near Cambridge and will be buried Saturday....

From Story County Watchman February 25, 1898

Cambridge Dispatch: ....Mrs. Martin Johnson was born Aug. 17, 1877, and died Feb. 10, 1898. Cause of death was blood poisoning. Deceased removed with her mother to Story county in 1892. She was married to Martin Johnson Dec. 18, 1895, and to this union were born a boy and girl, the latter an infant now only a few weeks old....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Martin Johnson was the son of Sven Johnson and Jyri Hansen from the Roland area. His wife, Minnie, was the daughter of Louis Johnson and Tilla Jensen from Palestine Township (however she was born in Clinton County, Iowa according to her marriage record.)
