OBITUARY.--Simeon R. Beedle died at Webster City, Iowa, July 28, after an illness of three weeks of typhoid fever, aged 43 years, 6 months and 11 days. Deceased was born in Porter county, Ind., Jan. 17, 1849, and at the age of six years with his parents moved to Iowa in 1855. He leaves an aged mother, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, and a host of friends to mourn his loss. He united with the Christian church at the age of 18 and until his death was ever found faithful and ready to help wherever help was needed. The body was brought to Ontario, his old home, for burial. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ellis, at the Christian church. The large concourse of friends gathered to pay the last tribute of respect speaks well for his standing in this community.
