Died August 5th, 1896 at the home of his son in Nevada township, Mr. Samuel Galbreath, aged 68 years lacking 11 days. He was a native of Ireland, married Catherine Hanna Jan. 1850, and came to America in August of the same year. They first located in Pennsylvania, two years later in Illinois where they remained until 1887, 35 years. Subsequently they lived on year in Neb., and eight in Kansas, coming to Iowa last spring to make their home with their son. Mr. G. became a member of the United Presbyterian church in early life and until his decease was a faithful follower of his Lord and Master. His funeral services were impressively conducted by the Rev. Mr. Force of Iowa Center in the Mullen Settlement chapel, Thursday afternoon.
