CORY, FORMER AMES RESIDENT, IS DEAN

It was learned here Saturday of the death of L. Forrest Cory, 35, formerly of Ames, at his home northwest of Mystic. Cory died of scarlet fever Dec. 21. He was buried at Centerville Dec. 23.

Cory ran a filling station in Ames for the Standard Oil company for two years. The family lived on a farm just south of the airport for eight years. The deceased attended Iowa State college and later taught in Iowa for six years.

He is survived by his parents at Forest City, a daughter at Mystic, three sisters, Mrs. Faye Frakes, Austin, Minn., Mrs. Erma Wagner, Audubon, Mrs. Emma Carter, LaGrange, Ill.; one brother, F. Byron B. Cory, Creston.
