J. V. Lynn, 56, Former I. S. Man, Is Dead

J. V. Lynn, 56, professor of industrial arts at Iowa State college from 1920 to 1934, died Saturday in Woodstock, Ont., Canada, it was learned here Monday by D. C. Faber, director of engineering extension at Iowa State. He had been in ill health for six or seven years. He and Mrs. Lynn, who survives, left Ames for Canada about a year ago.

Born in Canada, Mr. Lynn was graduated from Stout institute, Menominee, Wis., and received his master's degree from Pennsylvania State college. He had had 30 years of teaching experience, including about 16 years in Canada.

He was for 10 years supervisor of manual training at Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and for two years before joining the staff at Iowa State was supervisor of industrial education for the Iowa department of public instruction.
