Jones Funeral Held Wednesday
Bealieu man Dies at Langdon After Year’s Illness
(From the Cavalier County Republican, Langdon, North Dakota, April 1933)Funeral services were held in the chapel at the Miller Funeral home in Langdon Wednesday for Albert Jones, resident of the Bealieu vicinity since 1926, who passed away Saturday, April 15, 1933, at the Langdon hospital, where he had been confined for almost a year during his final illness. He suffered a paralytic stroke Saturday and died the same day without regaining consciousness. Rev. William Briher of Zion Evangelical church was in charge of the services and interment was in Lebanon cemetery.
Alfred Jones was born in Zanesville, Ohio, April 10, 1856. When still a small boy he moved with his parents(1) to Patterson, in Hardin county, Ohio, where he grew to manhood. He then moved to Iowa Center, IA, where he married Mary Whitaker (2). To this union were born nine children, two of whom joined their mother in death before their father. During his early manhood he united with the Evangelical church and continued in that faith until his death. The deceased came to North Dakota in 1926 and lived near Beaulieu. He leaves to mourn his departure three sons and four daughters. They are Charles (Jones)of Decatur, Neb.; Harry (Jones) of DesMoines, Ia.; Dare (Jones)(3) of Rio Linda, Calif.; Mrs. Thomas Musgrave(4) of Forest, Ohio.; Mrs. F.C. Ehrenreich(5) of Chicago; Mrs. Clinton Hundley(6) of Sabetha, Kan.; and Mrs. John Villeneuve(7)of Concrete, (ND). Thirteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one brother William (Jones), of Forest, Ohio, also survive.
