Betty Eller, of Nevada, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Betty Eller, 87, of Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames with the Rev. Katherine Werner officiating. A light lunch and time of fellowship will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Betty Eller was born June 22, 1922, in Worth County to Walter and Mabel Berhow. She graduated from Ames High School in 1941. She married Frederick (Fritz) Eller on May 13, 1944.
They raised their family on a farm north of Ames where she loved gardening and flowers. She was exceptionally skilled in sewing, needlework and a variety of crafts. She was a fantastic ironer.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce (Mary) Eller, of Ames, and Jim (Sheila) Eller, of Story City; one daughter, Becky (Randy) Pohl, of Nevada; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Romsey; and two brothers, Richard and Jim Berhow.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one son, Fred.
