THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, June 17, 2010.

David A. Kamm, 72, of Queen Creek, Ariz., passed away Friday, June 11, 2010. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at Queen of Heaven Mortuary Chapel, 1562 E. Baseline Road, Queen Creek. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 20615 E. Ocotillo Road, Queen Creek. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Dave grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe and was discharged in 1961. In 1965, he started working for 3M Company in St. Paul, Minn. He relocated to Ames in 1972, where he was a supervisor/engineer. He retired from 3M after 37 years, and moved to Arizona in 2003.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary; sister, Lois (Fred) Adler; children, Steve (Sheryl) Kamm, Kathy (Steve) Strawn and Cindy (Robin Lunkley) Kamm; and grandchildren, Max Kamm, Sierra Lunkley and Kayla Kamm.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Wilhelmina Kamm; one brother, Richard Kamm Jr.; and one sister, Doris Kamm.
