THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

Christy Nelson Nicolas was born Sept. 15, 1961, to Rosalie and George Nelson, of Ames. She married Pierre Nicolas April 11, 1987, and they were blessed with a daughter, Noelie Nicolas, of Philadelphia.

Her siblings are brother, Lee Nelson, of Ankeny, and sister, Gina (Curt) Stoecker, of Stratford.

She was preceded in death by her father.

There will be no formal memorial service. The family asks that you join them in a moment of silent prayer and reflection that could include one of Christy’s favorites, The Serenity Prayer, at 9 p.m. Friday June 25.
