DIES SUDDENLY

Mrs. Bertha Dyrland, a sister of Mrs. Jacob Risdal and Mrs. C. H. Risdal of this place, died suddenly about ten o'clock Friday evening. She visited here last week and had attended the Ladies Aid meeting in Bergen church Thursday. Friday she was at her daughter's home near Hubbard when she took ill as the family was returning home from McCallsburg in the car and died before aid could be summoned, a victim of heart failure.

Mrs. Dyrland was born in Benton county, July 20, 1877, and died June 10, 1932, at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 21 days. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mason of Story City.

She leaves to mourn her death, six children, one child having died in infancy. Those living are Mrs. S. A. Christianson of Hubbard, Mrs. H. L. Gibson of Torrington, Wyo., Mrs. Clark Howard of LeRoy, Ill., and Glen, Blaine and Leo Dyrland of Marshalltown. She also leaves nine grandchildren, two brothers, W. O. Mason of Madison, Minn., and Milton Olson of Des Moines, and four sisters, Mrs. Elias Ellingson of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Jacob Risdal and Mrs. C. H. Risdal of Roland, Mrs. R. C. Sutton of Des Moines.

She moved to Story City in 1912 and the last few years has been making her home with her children. She was well known in this community, having visited here numerous times.

The funeral was held yesterday at the Immanuel Lutheran church at Story City with interment in the Story City cemetery.
