The Nevada Representative, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, January 22, 1879.
Died.
At the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. W. S. Waldron, in Nevada, Saturday evening last, at half past 6, Henry Bright, aged 77 years and 4 days.
Father Bright, as he was familiarly called by nearly every one, was born in Agusta county, Virginia, January 14, 1802, moved to Miami county, Ohio in 1829, where he was married during the following year. He resided in Ohio for over 40 years, or until 1872, when together with his son-in-law, Mr. Waldron, he went to Minneapolis Minnesota for his health. In 1873 he came to Nevada Iowa, continuing his residence at Mr. Waldrons, for the purpose of passing his last days in company with and near his children, who reside in Story and Marshall counties. He had been declining for over a year, and since November, confined to his room constantly. His religious tendencies were German Reform, having been connected with that church during his life. He was highly respected and much thought of by all who knew him. His widow who had been his loving companion for nearly fifty years, and his children are left to mourn his loss. Funeral services on Monday last, attended by a large congregation who followed him to his last resting place.
