FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR MRS. J. E. HALE

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 27, at 2:00 p.m. from the Collins Methodist church for Mrs. J. E. Hale, who died at Story County hospital, Nevada, after an illness of several months.

Officiating minister was the Rev. Robert P. Robinson, pastor of the church, assisted by a former pastor, the Rev. Louis H. Joslin of North English. The church was filled to capacity with relatives and friends, many of whom came from long distances.

Caring for the floral tributes were Mrs. Ora Hanson and Mrs. O. N. Serbein.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Curtis Marsh of Kellogg, vocal soloist, and Mrs. C. R. Stone, pianist, the songs being "In the Garden" and "Face to Face."

Casket bearers were Charles B. Kimberley, Wayne Laughlin, Berle Robinson, Robert Lawson, Russell Oswalt and John Kingman. Interment was in Collins Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Hale was born in Indiana, March 18, 1885, and died at Nevada, Iowa, March 25, 1954, at the age of 69 years and 7 days.

She is survived by her husband, J. E. Hale, and a son, Harold, both of Collins, and one daughter, Maude (Mrs. Malcolm Love) of San Diego, Calif. Also by four grandchildren, four brothers, and a number of nephews and nieces and innumerable friends.
