Mrs. T. S. Olson died at her home here Saturday afternoon (28 Dec 1929), following an illness with pneumonia. She had a fall on her doorstep the fore part of the week and fractured her hip. This may have hastened her death, though her advanced age of 85 years, was no doubt the deciding factor.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the home and at Immanuel Lutheran church conducted by the Rev. T. T. Heimarek, pastor of the church.

Mrs. Olson had lived in Story City for 40 years. Her husband died about ten years ago (28 Aug 1919). Seven children survive, four daughters, Mrs. L.J. Underwood and Mrs. Louis Erickson of Ames, Mrs. E. O. Severeid of Story City, and Mrs. R.E. Hauge of Brainerd, Minn., and three sons, John and Charles of this place, and Theodore of Garden City. Twenty-five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and two brothers, one in Norway, and another in Wisconsin, also survive.

The two sons here made their home with their mother. Mrs. Erickson came after her injury Monday to care for her mother.

[Maiden name Jacobson. See obituary for Torjes S. Olson.]
