Olive A. Robison - Ferguson 1879-1914

FERGUSON, ROBISON, KISE, MEADE

Mrs. John E. Ferguson died yesterday at 2:30 p. m. at the family home on North Duff avenue of heart trouble. The circumstances surrounding Mrs. Ferguson's death are especially pathetic. Her health has been very poor for some months and prior to their coming here a few weeks ago, she had been in a hospital for considerable time and their funds were about exhausted. Mr. Ferguson came to Ames with his family and his mother to work for the Coles and the mother has been sick with smallpox, the family still being under quarantine. Mrs. Ferguson is about thirty three years of age and leaves three children, the youngest five years of age to mourn her untimely death, besides her husband. Short funeral services were held at the cemetery this afternoon by Rev Caul of the Baptist church officiating. From the circumstances the home not being available.

Ames Evening Times on Monday, April 20th 1914 (Olive was born in Story County, the daughter of Horace G. Robison and Ellen Kise Robison)
