THE NEVADA JOURNAL, Nevada, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, November 12, 2009.

Dean Monson, age 69, of Kirksville, Mo., passed away Friday, Nov. 6, in Kirksville.

He was born April 12, 1940, in Minneapolis, Mn., to Lois and LuVern Monson.

He is survived by his former wife, Jan, of Nevada; 3 daughters: Kathy (Brad) Ayers of Green City, Mo.; Renee (Nick) Hunzelman of Edina, Mn.; Julie (Steve) Green of Marquette, Mich.; and 8 grandchildren.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents and an infant grandson.

Due to his wishes, no service will be held.
