AmesAlma Risetter, 94, of Ames died of cancer Wednesday at Israel Family Hospice House there. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church near Radcliffe, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery near Ellsworth.
Mrs. Risetter was born in McCallsburg and had lived in the Radcliffe area until moving to Story City in 1981. She moved to Ames a year ago. She was a homemaker and had been a Sunday school teacher. She was a member of Mission Society and Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her husband, Burnith; a daughter, Janet Oppedal, and a brother Orville Handeland, both of Story City; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Boeke Funeral Home in Radcliffe. Memorial contributions may be made to Israel Hospice House or her church.
