Julia West, 94, of Story City died of a heart ailment Sunday at Bethany Manor Nursing Home there. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell.

Mrs. West was born in Hamilton County and had lived in the Story City area most of her life. She had taught at South Hamilton schools.

She is survived by a son, Larry of Clive; and a sister, Angie Knutson of Story City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
