Geraldine G. Hodgson Jan. 20, 1920 - Oct. 1, 2001

Geraldine G. Hodgson, 81, of Nevada, died Monday at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines of respiratory failure. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Central Presbyterian Church in Nevada with the Rev. Scott Milsom officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Nevada.

Geraldine G. Hodgson was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Marshalltown, the daughter of Herbert Harrison and Stella (Bown) Fuller. She was a graduate of Newton High School in 1937. She married George W. Hodgson in Missouri. She was co-owner of Hodgson Carpet and Drapery and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in McCallsburg.

She is survived by two daughters, Irene Howard of Nevada and Kathy Sturdevant of Woodward; one son, Rich Hodgson of Fernald; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Haning of Bondurant.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; three stepbrothers; and one stepsister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. Memorials can be made to Story County Long Term Care in Nevada.
