THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Sunday, March 29, 2009.

Zenith M. Tesdahl, 92, of Ames, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Riverside Manor, where he had resided for 11 years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames. A visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Zenith Tesdahl was born May 26, 1916, in Rake to Martin and Mahala (Musselman) Tesdahl. He married Opal Veach on Aug. 9, 1940. He was employed by Iowa State University for more than 40 years in Friley Hall. He loved his family life.

He is survived by three sons, Gary (Sharon) Tesdahl, of Carlisle, Dale Tesdahl and Robert Tesdahl, both of Ames; five grandchildren, Amy (Soren) Faaborg, of Ames, Robbie Tesdahl, of Cedar Rapids, Corey Tesdahl and Heather Tesdahl, both of Ames, and Michelle (Dave) Mann and their daughter, Morgan, all of Fort Dodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Doris, Jennie, Martha and Bernice; and one brother, Marvin.
