THE TRI-COUNTY TIMES, STORY COUNTY, IOWA, Thursday, March 19, 2009.

HUXLEY - Nancy Wright, 70, of Huxley, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa after a courageous battle with cancer.

Nancy was born December 18, 1938 in Washington, Indiana, the daughter of Glen and Velma (Wilson) Armes. She completed her education in Washington, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Alvin Wayne Wright on April 12, 1957 in Washington. Wayne was serving in the Army at the time and was stationed in Puerto Rico. They also lived in Maryland, Germany, Kentucky, Texas, Illinois, and Indiana before moving to Huxley, Iowa in 1976.

Nancy was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Cambridge, Iowa, where she was involved with many ministries of the church. She loved to read, spend time with her grandchildren, go to garage sales and go shopping with her friends. She had a great sense of humor and kept things lively.
Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne, of Huxley, Iowa; her three children: Jim (Jenni) Bohn of Bloomington, Indiana, Donna (Nathan) Lobb of Aurora, Minnesota, Matthew (Lisa) Wright of Huxley, Iowa; her grandchildren: Kim Bohn, Joshua, Sarah, Caleb, Bethany Lobb, Clarissa (Lobb) Lerol, Cody, Mariah, Alisa, and Haley Wright; two great-grandchildren; four sisters: Doris Seat, Marilyn Friedman, Peggy Aldridge, Jaclyn (Don) Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter: Kimberly Ann; and one brother: Richard Armes.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church in Cambridge. Interment will be in the Cambridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:30?8:00 p.m. Monday at the Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Faith Baptist Missions Fund.

Bacon Funeral Home in Maxwell is handling arrangements.
